Danger Island is a sequence in The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. It is a live-action serial produced by Hanna-Barbera, intended as a version of Johnny Quest.
Summary[]
A trio of adventurers explore an unnamed tropical island group. Prof. Irwin Hayden is an archaeologist, Leslie is his daughter, and Lincoln "Link" Simmons is his young assistant.
The professor's brother, who is also an archaeologist, disappeared in the same island chain some years ago while searching for the mythical lost city of Tobanya.
They are joined by a shipwrecked sailor named Morgan and his teenage sidekick, Chongo, who only speaks in monkey-chatter and bird calls.
They are pursued by Captain Mu-Tan and his bumbling pirates, and by three tribes of cannibal natives, namely "the Headhunters," "the Skeleton Men," and "the Ash Men."
